Getting to the North Fork

PLANE

Fly into Kennedy (JFK) or LaGuardia (LGA) Airports (both are about a 2 hour drive to the North Fork)

Fly into Islip MacArthur (ISP) Airport (about a 1 hour drive to the North Fork)

CAR

Driving is always an option!

Map your driving directions on Google Maps from home or from any airport

FERRY

From New England, it's easy to take the Cross Sound Ferry (car ferry)

Bridgeport-->Port Jefferson or New London-->Orient

BUS

Take the Hampton Jitney from locations throughout NYC

TRAIN

The Long Island Railroad offers trains out of Penn Station in NYC to the North Fork a few times a day.  (Train stations on the NoFo are Riverhead, Mattituck, Southold, and Greenport)

*Several hotels and B&Bs are within walking distance of the Greenport train station and Greenport Hampton Jitney stop.  For other towns, since taxi service is limited on the North Fork, it may be best to drive.  Check Google Maps for more.
